Section 40
After presentation for acceptance
, the bill of exchange to be paid must be presented to the drawee for acceptance within the trading hours on the day of the transaction. If the date and place to be presented are not written, the person who has the right to demand approval must make a proper search of the drawee within a reasonable time and present it to him within the time of the transaction on the day of the transaction. If it is not presented accordingly, no other party will be liable to the person who does not do so. However, if the drawee does not find it even after making a proper search, it will be considered that the bill of exchange has been dishonored.
